Troop 46 likes to camp and we make every effort to have regular campouts.

We are grateful for recent donations to the Troop of a troop trailer and of new camp stoves.  The Troop provides Patrol Boxes for camping which include pots, pans, cooking utensils, spices, and general "kitchen" type items along with dish tubs and soap.

Scouts bring their own gear.  Camping is a great opportunity to learn about living in the outdoors. The troop takes some meeting time every year to discuss camping preparations, and there is an Eagle required Camping Merit Badge. Scout peers are encouraged to help newer scouts. But since tents and gear is brought by individual scouts, we highly encourage scouts to understand how to setup their tent and check ahead of time that they have all of the parts, stakes, poles, etc.
